Rivelino suffers first defeat

It looks as though we were brought down a notch on Saturday with a 3-1 loss. The team looked sharp at times coming out hard early, but the away side worked the counter-attack to a tee and pounced on our mistakes to secure victory. On a personal note, my ankle feels worse than it did before the match... never was good at giving injuries adequate rest!!

One thing I have learned (and learned fast) is that the best way to drown the sorrows of defeat is by attending an FA Premiership football match... and that I did. Fullham welcomed Man City to Craven Cottage for what turned into a goal fest with both teams scoring three on the day. I took in this game with Kyle and his co-teachers and students which was an absolute blast. I plan on attending the next one which is in October against Portsmouth I believe. The game itself was brilliant and it was nice to finally get my first Premiership game under my belt, although I always envisioned I would be on the pitch playing rather than in the stands!

Post game involved pizza, wine, and a wee bit of dancing... I must say it was a slice! (no pun intended) I am on pins and needles waiting for the next Fullham match...
In a bit.... Bakes

Hi Ryan, it's francine.

am sitting here at the computer while Anna-Lee is booking her trip to New Brunswick for the figure skating course first weekend in October. I was re reading all your blogs since you arrived in England and on one of your first blogs you were at Blenheim , we were in front of that same place 12 years ago Anna-Lee and I. We have a photo somewhere, Anna-lee was only six years old and I had a friend that lived in that village where it is located, I remember we walked, or maybe caught the local bus. My friend was my roomate in the hospital where I spent a week after my ski accident in Italy. When we met Connie had been working in a ski chalet in northern Italy (Ortesei) and she had also injured herself when she had to take a group of tourist out.Anyway, she was originally English, moved to Australia and ended up working in Italy. Then she ended up marrying and English guy. We always used to have contact, the first time we saw each other in England was 1991, now I haven't seen her in 12 years. It was a blast with her in the hospital, I guess we were both on strong pain killers so we laughed all the time. It was quite primitive in the Italian hospital and we ended up with 2 differnt italian girls(one at a time) sharing our room. both were hilarious in differnt ways. we communicated with an italian word book, which for me at the time was quite the challenge. the only word I always have stuck till this day in my head is PADELLA. Of course you might even guess what this Meant. BEDPAN!!!!!(WE WERE ALL IN TRACTION!!!!) Any way thats my story(you wanted one). PS Ortesei if probably one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen, the mountains there are not like out west here, they are huge rock mountains with very few trees, if you ever want to see some pictures go on the computer to italian ski areas, Val Gardena, Ortesi. It's very romantic looking and the chalets are beautiful, we had a chalet with a window with panes in it and when you looked out through the window it looked like a painting.

Any way to change the subjec I have gathered you are now playing on a football team, thats fun. i guess that the year off has taken its toll. What with all that English beer and fatty food I guess they could kick you aroun the football pitch.hahahah! You said before you left you wanted to get in shape , maybe this will do some good. Anna-Lee and Kaitlin have taken up working out a few times a week and running. I heard they could keep up with you guys in Sweden.
Well, I spoke with your Mum today, she couldn't remember if she spoke with you yesteday(day of operation)
she seemed quite perky. I hope she takes all the time she needs to feel better(2 weeks) well, i have to go now Ryan, lots of HUGS AND KISSES TO YOU, yO mAMMA-fRANCINEXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOOXOXOXOXOXOOXOXOXOXOOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOOXOXOXOOXOXOXOXOOX

Stop complaining about injuries. What are 25 yrs old at the most? Wait until you are almost 40 and the pains take two weeks to go away.so wrap in up with some tape and keep playing.
